Rounding Made Simple
Learners review place value, then receive graph paper as a visual aid for rounding. Students are taught to find the place value they will be rounding to, and underline it. The digit following the underlined digit is circled. If the circled digit is 5 or greater the underlined number toes up by one, if not, the underlined digit remains the same. Each digit including the circled one and moving to the right become zeros.
