Sailing the World on the USS Alabama

Young scholars study the geographical locations that USS Alabama protected during her voyages. In this geography lesson, students draw the continents on a large round piece of fruit to make their own globes. They answer questions about directions using the globes and research how to use map coordinates before locating the places that were protected by the USS Alabama.

As an online high school teacher, LP has helped me tremendously with extra resources! I have been able to use additional supplemental materials from here and students are able to gain more knowledge and a different perspective.
