Scanned Textures

Students identify that scanned textures can have more than one interpretation by selectively scanning, enlarging, shrinking and adjusting textures for use in their own digital paintings. They create paintings experimenting with different textures and brightness levels. Students analyze how digital paint can help us at creating all kinds of artificial effects, such as perfect, crisp lines and stunning, precise gradients.
