When numbers get too big, scientific notation makes them easier to add and subtract. Your middle schoolers will work through a variety of practice problems incorporating different tasks with scientific notation and standard form. The last question has them dividing two numbers in standard form and comparing the answer with exponent rules to see if they recognize a pattern. Answer key is not provided but there is room on the bottom of the worksheet to write in answers.
