Shadows

Students investigate the daily patterns of light and shadows that are formed due to the orientation of the sun and the earth. They record what happens when plastic wrap, wax paper, and cardboard is placed in front of a light, and observe which way shadows move when moving a ruler. Students also participate in a shadow measuring activity.

Carol G.
I just transferred mid-year to an art teacher position; it has been more than 15 years since I taught art. I needed some quick ideas to get started. Thank you Lesson Planet!
