Shapes, Colors, and Prepositions

Use shapes to meet a mix of objectives in this interesting activity. It may not look like much, but the learning opportunities and skills practice are solid. First, scholars examine 13 shapes and follow instructions as they color squares, triangles, rectangles, and circles different primary colors. Next, they look at three shapes surrounding a star and practice with prepositions, marking the shape that is above, deside, and below the star.
