Shaping a President: Politics and the Media

Young scholars examine the role media plays in politics. After discussing JFK's presidential campaign and his ability to master the use of television for political purposes, groups assume the roles as campaign staffers for politicians declaring candidacy for President of the United States. Students design a campaign to accent the positive qualities of their candidate.
