Ships of State: The Great Ocean Liners

Learners research the history of ocean liners, including the Titanic and Britannic. Using the internet and other resources, students explore the differences between ships of the early 1900's and ships of today. Individually, they write a paper about a famous ship. As a class, learners discuss modern technology and how it could have saved lives in the early 1900's.

Lesson Planet is a very resourceful educational website; however most important is the fact that thousands of teachers are featured sharing hundreds of lessons that are practical, interactive, and functional.
