In this adding decimals learning exercise, students solve a growing pattern that doubles. They start with 1 cent then double the amount of money each day for 30 days. Students keep a running total of the amount of money earned in 30 days and compare this to 1 million dollars. Students are asked to make a prediction before they solve the problem and reflect on their prediction after they solve the problem.
