Social Studies: Motherhood and Politics

Students examine the roles of women as mothers and politicians. Younger students list women's contributions as mothers and create skits demonstrating activities mothers perform. Older students debate whether or not women make better leaders than men. the instructional activity concludes with students writing essays explaining how to balance being both a political leader and a parent.
