Instead of sometimes hard-to-decipher cartoons and illustrations, Spanish learners use a dictionary with photographs to prompt vocabulary.

Instructional Ideas

  • Instruct students to keep a the list of cognates in their Spanish journals
  • Play twenty questions using an image from the dictionary. Pupils ask twenty questions in Spanish about the image
  • Have learners write a dialogue using images of their choice in addition to the student pages provided

  • Photographs may not copy well without adjusting printer
  • This resource is only available on an unencrypted HTTP website. It should be fine for general use, but don’t use it to share any personally identifiable information
