Spelling: Long i: igh, y, i-e

Young spellers review different i sounds (spelled igh, y, and i-consonant-e). First they categorize six spelling words that use these target sounds, then they complete a four-question comprehension section that uses the vocabulary words. As a home activity, have learners write a short passage about looking at the starts. How many vocabulary words can they use?
