Spelling: Long o: o, oa, ow

Are your youngsters learning the long o sound, spelled o, ow, and oa? Use the words sold, woke, coat, soap, below, and owe to illustrate this target sound. First learners will demonstrate their understanding of rhyming words, then learners identify the opposite (or antonym) of two words provided. At home, adults write simple sentences that use the vocabulary words, having the youngster read them aloud.
