Stellaluna: Bat or Bird?

The story Stellaluna by Janell Cannon lends itself as a fictional resource in determining the difference between bats and birds. On the other end of reading genres, scholars examine the informative text, Bat News. Using their new-found knowledge, peers work collaboratively to complete a Venn diagram that illustrates the similarities and differences between the two animals. Pupils compose an informative paragraph and share it with their class members.
