Talking Trees: Earth Day

Students explore how they can take care of the environment. In this Earth Day lesson, students read a story that introduces them to the term stewardship and discusses the importance of trees to our environment. Students design and make posters with a "save the trees" message. The lesson also includes 5 minute mini-lessons and post-service reflection activities that provide a deeper understanding on philanthropy.

Diana C.
Lesson planning can be so time consuming. Now I can spend some time with my kids. Quality lessons when you've got that "not so creative" feeling.
