Your eighth grade learners are asked to analyze and graph linear data collected by fifth graders in order to prepare a report of recommendations on the length of shoe laces for shoe manufacturers. Given the bivariate data, learners produce a scatter plot and find the best fit line to produce a linear model. Lastly, they use the model to communicate back information to the fifth grade class and help create a report to send to the shoe manufacturers.
