Teaching Students to Write Expository

Use the conventions of written English to have your learners compose an expository piece based on an insect of their choice. They write a short paragraph on why they like/dislike that animal or insect, study the main components of the writing process, and apply those components by creating a plan for a short paper. This instructional activity focuses on building a skill set and can be used in with any subject.

Victoria C.
Lesson Planet has helped me with my lesson plans as a student teacher. There are so many creative lesson plans available which is a huge help to someone like me who has very little experience at this point in time and I am in need of ideas and activities to help get me started in the classroom.
