That's a Wrap! Surface Area Problems
Your geometers apply surface area formulae to help a group of adolescent concert promoters get ready for the big show. They determine the surface area of cylindrical surfaces such as trash cans, rectangular prisms (CD cases), and a pyramid-shaped tent. Then, they use the information to figure how much paper they'll need to cover 100 CDs, what dimensions would be needed in a rectangular concert poster to cover a trash can, and how much fabric they'd need to make a pyramidal tent.
