This is the perfect resource for celebrating Flag Day or introducing the Pledge of Allegiance in the United States to your students! Pupils first investigate an earlier version of the Pledge from 1892 and identify how the document and its recital has evolved. They then learn about Flag Day and its origins through primary source analysis, and finally examine the meanings of American principles as they are expressed in the Preamble of the US Constitution.
