The Energy of Motion-A river Study

Students investigate coastal erosion.  In this sixth through ninth grade science/mathematics lesson, students conduct an experiment that simulates sediment carried by the Mississippi River.  Students use ramps and a ball to represent the water and collect data on velocity.  Students find the kinetic energy of the bass as it rolls down the ramp.
