The Founding of the Virginia Colony

Students investigate the founding of the Virginia colony, three of the major historic towns, and three of Virginia's famous houses through discussion and research activities. They write a report that takes the point of view of different people who inhabited Virginia during its colonization including Martha Washington. Finally, they present their papers as if they were part of a story telling conference that tells the story of Virginia's colonization.
