This The Lorax activities & project also includes:

Accompany a reading of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss and Tell Me, Tree by Gail Gibbons with an activity packet designed to bring awareness to nature, specifically trees. Scholars take to the outside, draw lines to create trees reminiscent of the Truffula tree, observe and discuss the many uses of trees, and decorate a tree using poetry verses.

Instructional Ideas

  • Save money and time; ask families to donate plastic bags and volunteer their time to stuff bags with activity materials
  • Copy and laminate bookmarks onto card stock for continued use with little wear and tear
  • Celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday on Read Across America Day, March 2nd

  • Although the packet is designed for at-home use, activities and materials may also be implemented in the classroom
