The Memory Box

Students begin the lesson by choosing someone in their family they deeply care about. Using an index card, they create a title and date to place on the card to make it believeable. They write about a special event with that person each day of the month. Once the month is over, they take the index cards and place them into a memory box they have made to give to that family member.

Lesson Planet helps me search from such a large variety of creative and innovative teaching ideas from dedicated teachers. I am always looking for ideas to better teach my students and solicit the help of others in the education field. Many of the lessons guide students from concrete to abstract learning. Keep up the great work!
