Students examine how the economy changed as a result of the Industrial Revolution. Using maps, they trace patterns of industrial development as they relate to climate, natural resources and trade. They discover how states used tariffs to encourage business and child labor. They locate countries where new immigrants were coming from to take advantage of the jobs.
