The West Wing-The Real One!

Students examine the background of the structure of the "West Wing" and its original location. The class is divided into four groups and research either James Hoban's original design of the White House, Jefferson's proposed extensions and location of president's office, Theodore Roosevelt's 1902 move of the office to the West Wing, or Taft's Oval Office. The class combines their research to create a time line.

I have really appreciated the connecting links to a variety of sources (i.e. National Geographic) and the teacher-tested lessons have been very helpful for me in planning my units. Thanks Lesson Planet!
