Bullying is easy to discuss in the abstract, but what happens when you see it in action? Teach class members not to be bystanders with a short activity in which they respond to an image of bullying.

Instructional Ideas

  • Encourage learners to write a short story about the event in the picture
  • Incorporate into a schoolwide focus on bullying and student leadership
  • Use as a warm-up activity in a peer counseling meeting
Classroom Considerations

  • Picture is in color; be sure that printing in black and white won't affect visability, or project the image into the board
  • Does not provide a lot of space for responses
