Traveling Around the World

Eighth graders, using the Internet, a graphing calculator and a coordinate grid determine the distance from one place of the world to another. They write equivalent forms of algebraic expressions to solve problems. Included in the forms are applying the laws of exponents, operating with polynomials and factoring polynomials.
