Unemployment in My Hometown

Pupils use information from the Bureau of Labor to track unemployment rates for their community. Using the internet, they research the types of industries in their town. They define the three types of unemployment and compare and contrast the local and national unemployment rates. They discuss the effects of diversification on industries on the unemployment rate in their community.
