The United Nations organization handles the world's issues one by one. The question is, who has the authority? Scholars investigate the format behind the UN in the first lesson of an eight-part unit. Graphic organizers, as well as puzzle pieces, give insight into the functionality of groups like the UN Security Council and General Assembly. A brief writing assignment to finish the lesson asks individuals to identify what they believe is the most important to the UN.
