Up and Down: Damped Harmonic Motion

Students observe and record the motion data for a given object. Using TI-Nspire software technology and a CBR2 or Go-Motion motion detector, students collect and analyze motion data to determine frequency and amplitude. Students use an exponential function to model damping. They compare the model data to experimental data.
