Using Violent and Nonviolent Methods to Solve Problems

I have to say, this seems like an odd instructional activity for upper graders to participate in. They discuss violent and non-violent methods for resolving problems and then play a game in which one student must use violence to enter the circle, then non-violence to enter the circle. I could see this being appropriate for younger grades up to grade seven during a discussion about interpersonal communication and bullying.
