Visualization of Rhythms in 4/4

Counting the beats in a measure can be a kinesthetic process. Four chairs are placed in a row, each one represents a beat or count in 4/4 time. Kids sit in the chairs and act as quarter notes. When a child is removed, the rhythm changes showing that each empty chair represents a quarter rest. Neat idea!
