We all Scream for Ice Cream

Students observe how salinity effects the freezing point of water. They make homemade ice cream. Students are shown how the "freezing times" vary using different amounts of salt to lower the freezing point of water. They are taught how water freezes at 32 degree F. Students are shown that adding salt to water lowers the freezing point.
