We Are Off and Running

Eighth graders receive a copy of the U.S. constitution and a copy of the attached worksheet "Constitution Article Search." They work in groups to read the constitution and mark words or phrases they do not understand. Marked areas are discussed. Students examine the Bill of Rights, and put some of the amendments into their own words. They complete the worksheet "Bill of Rights."
