They identify effects of sprawl, such as visual pollution, loss of historic architecture, loss of local businesses, traffic congestion, etc. Pupils identify possible solutions. Students identify the differences between various kinds of communities. They explain strict/separate and mixed land uses. Pupils explain the difference between compact housing units, cluster housing, and single-family homes.
