What? No Books in the White House?
Students work in groups to create a class research project. They each read an article about the development of the library in the White House by the Abigail and President Millard Fillmore. Students are assigned to one of five groups. One group makes a timeline, one a poster about the congressional debate over the creation of a library, one provides an illustration of the White House library, and one group finds titles of the original books that were included in the library.
