Women of the Civil Rights Movement: Teacher Transparency

With an image of the Civil Rights leaders in the Oval Office with John F. Kennedy, students view and identify the men in the picture and the parts they played in the Civil Rights Movement. This image would be especially useful in the context of the Women in Civil Rights Movement lesson (linked below), as the only people in the room are men, leading to a discussion on gender bias. The image could be used as a teacher transparency or as a primary document within the lesson.
