Instructional Ideas

  • Create posters for each of the 20 prefixes, ask class members to find examples of words that begin with each prefix, and add these words to the posters
  • Ask learners to crete a new word with a particular prefix

  • This resource is only available on an unencrypted HTTP website. It should be fine for general use, but don’t use it to share any personally identifiable information

  • The chart includes a column that identifies the percentage of times a particular prefix occurs in English

  • No word list utilizing these prefixes is included
