Working with Parabolas

This Working with Parabolas lesson plan also includes:

Fire off a parabolic graph and prove that the height of the fireworks will safely be above 76 feet. The lesson uses a graphing calculator and discusses what the labels of the graph should be. Using the vertex formula, learners prove that the height will be above the minimum necessary to keep the ground safe.
