Wounded Knee Massacre

Students are introduced to the events of the Wounded Knee massacre. In groups, they compare and contrast the Native Americans view of the event and the soldier's view. Using primary source documents, they identify differences in the stories and write journal entries from the participant's point of view to show empathy.
