What a terrific lesson on writing a persuasive letter. Learners read and analyze a letter that was actually written by ten-year-old John F. Kennedy. He wrote the letter to his father in an effort to get his allowance increased. Pupils use two effective graphic organizers embedded in the plan. The first organizer helps them to identify the components of a persuasive letter. The second one helps them to write their own persuasive letter. A fascinating lesson that should be a hit with your class. Highly recommended!
