Third graders describe, represent and compare fractions using pieces of a chocolate bar.  In this fractions lesson plan, 3rd graders demonstrate how to read and write fractions correctly. Students then integrate technology by using the internet to watch a  video about vocabulary words.  Students then use Microsoft word to type out vocabulary terms and definitions. Students then use active board and doc camera to present their matching fractions and illustrations to the class.
