In this instructional activity, Animal Investigation, 2nd graders will develop investigative and inquiry skills. Students choose one animal as a class to observe. Students ask questions about the animal and record observations, or answers to the questions in a notebook. Teacher review the questions and the answers with the students. This is a great instructional activity to use with this age group as an introduction to scientific inquiry.
