Young scholars build compound words out of two separate words using a variety of activities. In this compound word lesson plan, students practice building compound words using word cards. These word cards can be used in a variety of ways to focus on word building, spelling, or as a game. There are three different types of word cards, so different difficulty levels can be achieved.
