There is no better way to understand a different culture than to participate in its traditional or ceremonies. This activity kicks off with a discussion about a tea container made during the Edo period in Japan. After examining the vessel and viewing some video footage of an actual tea ceremony, little ones sit down to a nice cup of tea, to experience the ceremony and symbolism found in drinking tea.
