Students practice their reading comprehension by participating in a fictional fishing exercise.  In this children's literature instructional activity, students read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss, and discuss the characteristics of fish.  Students create their own fish using arts and crafts then pretend to fish for them using magnets as hooks.
