Young scholars write a character sketch and present it in first person.  For this historical heroes and character sketches lesson, students "meet" Harriet Tubman (played by their teacher) and discuss her contributions.  Young scholars read examples of character sketches and create a character sketch with interesting facts, quotes, and three visual aids.  This lesson is used as an introduction to Out of the Dust.
