Students discover how to read a current weather map. In this weather forecasting instructional activity, students view weather maps from three consecutive days and observe how quickly weather moves and changes.  Students review key terms associated with weather and watch a video of a local meteorologist giving a forecast. They study the types of fronts, pressure systems and how they are shown on a map. Finally, student groups practice filling in a weather forecast map.
