Crimes Against Humanity and Civilization: The Genocide of the Armenians

Used with the PBS film The Armenian Genocide (Two Cats Productions), the eight lessons in this collection teach high schoolers about the Armenian Genocide. Students use primary and secondary sources to research the history of the Ottoman Empire, actions taken by the United States, and the subsequent trials held by the Turkish government. Given the graphic nature of some of the content, preview the materials to determine if appropriate for your students.
