Students photograph shapes around their school and create a shape movie.  In this shape hunting lesson, students recognize shapes in a shape hunt.  Students can identify the shapes recorded by others in the class.

Students listen to books about shapes, then use models to learn the names of shapes. Students then locate shapes in their real-world environment, practice spelling the shape words, and reflect in writing on the process.
